I manned the house 'channel' on the Silent Disco system while local hip-hop hero DJ Goldfish was on the other. Silent Discos feel a bit strange for the first hour as people come to grips with the lack of a big sound system - but as soon as people have had a few drinks the party kicks into full swing. Malaysia's first 42 Below Silent Disco was a big success and it was great to see a couple of hundred people partying in such a unique location and scenario.
Aside from this I also had a pretty cranking Thursday down at Centro KL. The rain in the early evening didn't stop the club filling up and it was humming by midnight. Centro has a great DJ booth, a big sound system and a regular crowd who seem pretty happy to be played a range of styles. I managed to span everything from vintage Masters At Work to Valentino Kanzyani and beyond and eventually had to be coaxed from the decks in the small hours by resident DJ Remy as I played well into his timeslot (sorry mate). Cheers to that!
